Legion Condor ribbon bar

Hi everyone,

Just bought this ribbon bar with the Lufty 4 yr LS, Spanish campaing medal and the Spanish Military Merit cross with red device.
The only problem I see is that the medal in 3rd place should be in 2nd place as is a decoration. Awarded to Legion Condor member with the Spanish cross in Silver.
Probably a period mistake. Any opinion?

Foreign awards on German ribbon bars were mounted in the order in which they were bestowed. If the owner received the campaign medal before the Military Merit Cross then this is the correct order to mount them.

I agree with James, but the order of precidence on early ribbon bars, especially those with Spanish Civil War medals, seem to often be out of order. Nice bar .

I really thought it was a mistake. I didn´t know the german order in which they were bestowed. Being Spanish I had no doubt about the order of precedence with Spanish medals but now I´m a bit wiser.

Very nice bar, but one thing to be aware of with this type of bar assembly is that someone hasn't pried off one of the tabs & added a different ribbon in an attempt to "spice up" the bar.

Not sayng that this is the case here, but it's always something I look for, especially on these type of rarer bars.
