    Danzig cross, 57 version,,,did it exist?

    Did they do a 57 version of the Danzig cross. Cant seem to find it somewhere.

    No. It was regarded as an NSDAP (prohibited) award.

        This is a mute point. The Danzig cross is an award of the State of Danzig albiet a Nazi government at the time. Thus the rules of the Federal German Government did not apply. In the Orders of 1957, those Orders and medals prohibited, point 14. Die Party, the Danzig cross is not mentioned. To further complicate the matter, it dose not display the swastika, thus it would not have to be redesigned even if it was under German Law.

        The fine detail is in the Comunist Polish Government. If it was prohibited, would be defined by them. If not particulary prohibited, there would be no reason not to wear the Order.
