    Luftschutz 1st class...opinions

    Hello Everyone,
I have compaired this luft. 1st class to a couple of known originals (photos) that I have. Overall my first impression was that I thought it looked good. Then I noticed a couple of things that caused some concern. These are in comparison with known good versions of this medal-

#1) The second "E" in Verdienste looks too thick
#2) The "F" and second "T" in Luftschutz look too thick as well
#3) The "C" in luftschutz is a different style
#4) There appears to be excess material on the 3 and 6 o'clock arms, as noticed on the rear of the medal.

Am I being too nit picky or are these valid concerns. Any and all help/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely Andy B.

Pretty sloppy looking around the edges. I'd say fake based upon the quality alone.

Thanks Don, thats what I was leaning towards, the quality just doesn't seem to be there (for such a rare award). Also, I just realized I posted this in the General awards section, I meant to post in the police/civil section

        Still, thanks for the input.

You only have to look at the 'flashing' around the edges where it left the mould - it's terrible.

certainly not the quality you would expect and a rather large ribbon ring to medal band ( or is that the pic angle ? )
