    Blutorden

I need some help with a question asked to me.
As far as I know only round 3800 Blutorden medals were given. Now I have been contacted by someone who has an "original" medal with a much higher number (33209). I have never heard of mis strykes with the numbers. Also I have not yet seen a scan of photo. Have anyone heard of this before?

    That number can't be right.

      I thought so too.
Here are the photos I received. It is to be claimed as received long ago from a GI. My conclusion is that its an early copy, anyone agree?

Exactly--this is an older copy, circa 1971 or so.

If Its cheap I'd like it as a reference piece

Sorry its not mine, I just asked this for someone else.
Through my work for the website www.ww2awards.com , I was asked this question on this medal. I had my doubts, but wanted some second opinions to back it up. When he likes to sell it, I shall see and think of you (when I don't buy it myself)
