Is this 100% legit and is the price good?

Hello William,
There is quite the controversy over this particular type of Memel Medal. I know a good majority of collectors will dismiss this type as a fake by virtue of the lettering on the reverse. Personally, I don't think the lettering disqualifies it in and of itself. Obviously, a number of different manufacturers produced these medals so I think it only natural to see some differences among original Memel Medals. Still, there are very good quality fakes of this Medal so you need to be real careful with these. The medal you show looks pretty good to me, but it is really a hard call to be certain. The price is obviously very good if the medal is original. Sorry I can't be of more help on this.

Hi William Tom has just about said it all. "A good majority of collectors will dismiss this type as a fake". Others will not, so its really up to how you feel about it.
