    What pattern Sa sportsbadge

    Hello,
Can someone explain to me, how I can see what for a pattern a SA sportsbadge is? I can't find that information anywhere. I did see, that the lower the number, the earlier the badge is. .... but what if there's no number.

I'm interested in a badge from 1936. What pattern would I than be looking for?

    Thanks!
    Frank

    'Eigentum d. Chefs d. Ausbildungswesens'

    2nd pattern: February 1935 - January 1939

    'Eigentum des SA-Sportabzeichen-Hauptstelle'

    3rd pattern: January 1939 on

    'Eigentum der Obersten SA-Fuhrung'
At Rathau on the Aller, the CO of 5th Royal Tanks advanced on foot to take a cautious look into the town before his tanks moved in. He encountered one of his own officers, a huge Welshman named John Gwilliam who later captained his country's rugby team, 'carrying a small German soldier by the scruff of his neck, not unlike a cat with a mouse.' The Colonel said: 'Why not shoot him?' Gwilliam replied in his mighty Welsh voice: 'Oh no, sir. Much too small.'
