Help to ID 14 place ribbon bar?

    Hello guys!

I need some help with this bar. First of all I wonder what it most likely is: original or fake? (info: the needle on the backside is steel, not brass). What is your opinion? And if it is likely to be original: What kind of military service might this soldier have had? He has a lot of WW1 decorations and one WW2, but no blue WH service ribbons.

Hope you can help me with this one

    Best regards
    Marius

Hi Marius, I don't think this one has any hope. It has a 1914 EK2 in the first position and a 1939 EK2 in the 5th place. That alone is enough to condem it. But it has a KVK2 in the 8th spot when it should be second and you are right that in all of this there should be some kind of long service award.

It looks like a half height bar and I thought most of those were sew on not pin on. I could be wrong on that point but I think you get the picture.

Actually it's the ribbon for the Prussian Red Cross Medal in bronze.

My doubts on this bar concern the many non-combatant and combat awards. Number 3 is the Prussian War Help Cross, that along with the Red Cross do not equal a combatant Hindenburg Cross. Also the number of unofficial awards after the intro of the Hindenburg Cross, plus the WW2 KVK2 being relegated so far down the line.
