Here is a nice set of ribbon bars from a Kreigsmarine Admiral. One ribbon, the one I have cropped and placed on the right, is one I can't tell if the devise has fallen off or came this way. Assistance in identifying same will be appreciated.

Hi Mr Stump
Do you know the name of that Admiral?
The last two ribbons of the second row are of Spanish Naval Merit Order, and Spanish Red Military Merit Cross... I'd say that man took part in the Spanish Civil War.
Red-yellow-red ribbons were for 4th class medals, as the one you posted here
Spanish Naval Merit cross, 4th class
That's a bit strange to me, as 4th class medals were for officers up to navy Lieutenant (equivalent to army captain or KM Kapitanleutnant). Perhaps he received that medal before his promotion to Korvettenkapitan (as German naval attaché aide in Spain?), or wore the ribbon of a lower class, as higher classes used breast stars.

Dear Mr. Stump,
The ribbon bars seem a lot like the ones sold by Niemann last year of DKiS recipient Admiral Litzmann (sp?). I saved some info on this admiral on my computer at home, since I could adquire his Wiederholungsspange 1. Klasse. If you want I can send this info to you.
Ciao,
Claudio Ortelli

The same ribbon bar with same cover can be seen in Mr Lundström oustanding article on ribbon bars:
The Ultimate Guide to German Ribbon Bars 1914-1945: WW2
Mr Lundström explains there the reason of the ribbon cover.
Best regards
