    Ok,

since the last Spanish ribbon bar I posted was fairly confusing, here are three easy ones.

    Nice bars !!

    Where are you finding these?

So far I have found a grand total of three, only one of which I bought. The remainder being overpriced. For a long time Weitze had a 4X bar on his site with two Spanish, $218. was the price . . . too rich for me!

Are you kidding me? That is far too expensive. I never really spent too much money on a ribbon bar - just in the states. I was blessed by staying out all night then hitting the flea markets in Germany really early and buying anything that caught my eye.

If you like the posts, I will keep posting....

        FROM WEITZE

I purchased a 5 place bar with three Spanish awards on Mr. Weitze's site a while back and it came with the vey rare Medal for Suffering ribbon. I think just the bar alone would have been too expensive, but with the Medal of suffering included to me it was a great deal. Here is the two items I am talking about. I am looking for the Spanish Military Medal and a ribbon bar for same.

            MEDAL FOR SUFFERING

This was a medal presented to combatants who were killed or wounded during the Spanish Civil War by Spain. An unknown number of personnel of the Condor Legion were bestowed this medal. My Spanish friend, "Panzerpioneer", found that a number of Germans were awarded this medal. the ribbon bar shows cross swords, but no cross swords were authorized by the Spanish Government with the Campaign Medal, the Red Military Service Cross or the Medal for Suffering.
