no they would have them bent already due to the stress they would cause if they were already soldered on.
and when they did make them they hand soldered every one of the items they put together. S & L was the only authorized maker of the WWII s/p's but other companys came into it because of the money to be made. you'll see some marked S & L and others not. and the ones with the medal bar's soldered on the back of some you need to look at close because there was a guy who had aquired alot of these and made some himself, you can tell by the way it's soldered, sloppy. there are alot of good ones with bars on the back and when you have one thats good you'll see the diff.
