the one in the book looks just like mine? or what?
it looks as if it is a solid s/p w/o any gaps like yours, at least thats what it looks to me???

These must be for the chains or mini medals. Notice how on the 1st class Luftshutz, the hole isnt punched out on the hanger.

I have often pondered how many badges were plucked right off the presses, or from remaining stock...even the reject pile.

These latest ones, do any have the pin back? Are they two sided?

It's interesting because the reverse of the pin features the reverse of the medal.

the MINI's are all two sided, and the wound one is sunk in like the full size one.
none of them have pins or have loops excpet the one you saw for AIR PROTECTION.
i am pretty sure all of these are for the minature awards as you can see at:
