    Rum. Anti communism ribbon foto

Here is a very odd wearing of the Rumanian Anti Communist award ribbon through the second butonhole of the uniform.

Strange, but understandable. The German 1941/42 East Medal was worn that way, so this soldier probably thought the Rumanian equivalent could be too. We've also seen a few photos of Rumanian etc ribbons being worn out of the left pocket flap-- improvized from lack of available ribbon bars, I guess.

Heres a previous thread with Rumanian awards being worn through the button hole.....

        http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...&threadid=9573

In this case photos of the same person during his life with different awards through the button hole....the most obscure being The Rumanian Loyal Service Cross (Crucea Serviciul Credincios)

Here we are.....Oberapotheker Hans Stemmer wearing the award in his pocket!
This was his only award and was made 29.1.1943 by Heeresgruppe Don whilst serving with Sanitäts Park 585.

So now we have a few fotos of that particular awards being worn out of the left pocket flap. Was this some sort of unspoken, unauthorized rule?

I think its a last minute thing to dress up the undecorated uniform for a photo. Something-even if wrong-is better than nothing.

What is up with the litzen on Hans Stemmer's picture?
