Interesting foto - no ribbon bar!

This Krimveteran seem not to have been able to afford a ribbon bar /medal bar.

    Mein GOTT!

Thats odd! Never seen German WW2 awards worn like this! I hope his Commander has not seen him like this.

    Best regards

        Wow!!! WEIRD!!!!

The only thing I have ever seen even stranger was a whole box of crappy snapshots from what I think was an ethnic German area of Yugoslavia-- real "mustache Pete" types like those 1980s movies where the extras never even shaved--and they all wore THEIR ribbon bars (singles usually or Russian front pairs) on the PLEAT of their left tunic pockets!

No, that is a little bunch of flowers. In Germany then brides would give their grooms some flowers to wear in the lapel button hole or in this case about the pocket

Erich, nice photo, I hope to see more in the coming future. I think as Seba, it's an EK II, I have seen sometimes the wear of the Ostmedaille in this way, but this soldier appears to wear the EK II, the Ostmedaille and the Rumanien Crusade Against Bolchevismus as if they were pin back, probably he felt it looks more war seasoned in this way than wearing only the ribbons.

Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

Oh, now I understand the question...yes it is an EK II.

I think I have two of three other such fotos that I will soon attach.

(I am looking forward to the Christmas break to do exactly that!)
