    Interesting Medal and Ribbon bar combination being worn by a very old soldier.

    Yes, this is QUITE bizarre-- if he was only wearing the single Hindenburg Cross with strange EK2 device on it, I'd think he just had the wrong device-- but there he is with the full sized awards swinging from under his pocket flap!!!

    I have never seen anything like this before!

      And I am glad you are impressed!!!

      I do (as I am sure you also) have the 1914 EK ribbon bar with EK and Hindenburg Cross device on it. But this is just a case of an older soldier probably not knowing he is going again regulations and very proud of his service.

      Actually this is not a scan that I made. The foto arrived yesterday and I just posted the jpeg off of the auktion site I got it from.

      I have a few other odd ones like this that I will soon post.
