Howdy!
I just went down to one of the antique and purchased this Blood Order Medal. Now, I am very skeptical of any medals being real, but this is not my area of expertise. The pictures that I took really aren't all that great and don't show the medal very well. It certainly shows age, but I know that just about anything can be aged these days. This medal was being sold along with a Mothers Cross and a War Merit Badge. The story is that a Jewish man brought in these medals saying that his father was in a concentration camp and took these medals from german soldiers ( whether or not they were officers, dead or alive, I'm not sure ). The Mothers cross and merit badge looked original to the period and so does this one. Now whether it really is, I can't be sure. Again the pictures don't really show the medal very well. It is stamped on the back with the numbers " 889" over "900." Please let me know what ya'll think.
