Hello again, a local dealer here in Windsor has this German silver award and wondered if anyone know what it is. Sorry that my pictures are so poor, but the best I could do without borrowing the item and scanning it. The medal has “Dem Schützenkönig von Eltern-Grondstein 1930” on the front with oakleaf clusters and then 800 and some makersmarks on the back. I think that it is a marksmanship award, but am not sure. Just wondered what it is and also what something like this would be worth? He has $500 Canadian on it.

Hello Chris,
Don't take this personally but it is very difficult to tell you anything with images this poor. It definately sounds like a shooting award but without seeing it I can't tell you if it is legit or a fantasy piece.
Sorry
Gary
