Ostvolk 2nd class with swords for review

Hi,
I would appreciate any opinions on this medal, I think the ribbon is wrong but the medal seems ok to me,

Hi Rick,

The medal is a fake in my opinion. It looks like a cast fake as the detail is very weak. I see evidence of casting gateways (red circles) and also casting flash between the rays at the five o'clock (red arrows). The ribbon looks like an original, but it is for the Imperial Saxon Albrecht Order and not an Ostvolk.

I see what you mean, I have had this medal for years and only just rediscovered it in a drawer, another for the junk box!
