Material difference

Guys, can you help me to identify both materials?
I woud say right one plate is a brass one. However, left one looks bit different to be brass too.

Hello,

Did you check these materials with a magnet? If the plate attracts a magnet then it is ferrous/iron-based. From the picture, it looks to me like the one on the left is iron with a brass-colored plating.

left one not magnetic, right one is

so the right one is for sure iron with copper plating (judging by finish colour), however the left one is still a mystery. I heard opinion it might be tombak with gold finish..?
