    Hello guys,

Again a medal that I like to get some opinions on! Good or bad? Pics aren't pretty good, but the only ones i have!

    Thanks in advance!

        Hello,

That is not an original medal. The ribbon is bad too.

        Best regards,
        Tom

I've tried and tried to reply with pics ... nothing gets through. The jump ring on the original Deschler awards are thicker and cast as part of the medal itself.

Here is the classic Deschler original ... note the jump ring cast as part of the medal.

The medal that opened this thread is not an original one, but we may consider it as the best copy that has been made of this award.

It is said that these were made by someone who wanted to produce reproductions but fortunately lacked the desire to deceive, so he decided to introduce a mark which clearly denoted it was a reproduction without having to inspect the medal in detail.

It is easily recognizable because the letter N from the word "Division" is reversed.

Maybe a Spanish made postwar replacement?

                    Regards
