Hello, may I have your opinions on this cased DAO. It has some chips to the enamel towards the ends of the arms. I am selling it and the buyer just wants to be sure the cross or the box are not fake!

Looks like a legit set, but since you're asking for opinions, here are two observations. The feather pattern on the obverse is much weaker than the reverse and the nuance of the enamel in the wreath doesn't appear to be consistant with the cross itself. It's also applied in a rather sloppy way. This can of course be credited to a visual illusion, but if it's there, I think it's probably repaired with enamel paint.

Hi Peter, thank you chiming in!
There is absolutely no repair or new enamel of any type, I’ve had a few of these, the yellow tint is 100% washable with soap, so the enamel in the swazies is right and as white as the rest! The swazies are not always filled perfectly with enamel to be 100% smooth, it is normal especially with the lower grades of the order.
