He's thinking about buying it but I asked that he gets a picture of the pin and catch.When he sent me this photo in my opinion the medal has been removed from an ordensspange and was never a single mount einzelspange.Too much excess ribbon around the edge for my liking coupled with the pin/catch issue. Not that this matters a great deal for some collectors and its the sort of pin and catch that can be added at a later date once sourced.I expect there was a nice 10 year NSDAP service medal that sat quite nicely next to this one.

I have a feeling this one was mounted on the medal back plate way after the war. The folding of the ribbon is extremely poor. But, if the medaland ribbon are original, this is still a great piece, and the ribbon folding can be improved.
