Assuming they are real, that is an EXELLENT "dream" price. I'd gladly pay that price. The only issue is security - are you a) going to get real medals, and b) are you going to get anything at all?

I would say based on the asking price, considering the fact that the $2,300 is the cost of just one Eagle Order - 3cl

IĀ“m particularly not interested for politics medals...if some colleague to want to communicate with the salesman (that I do not know - it this commercializing for the Internet), please sent a p.m. ... it will be a pleasure to help.

Grateful for the opinions John and Craig!

          Hi Folks,

          URL: http://www.mercadolivre.com.br/jm/it...LB&id=32075886

          R$ 1,00 (Real => Brazilian money) = +/- US$ 2,60.

            Hi Mooyman,

I saw the medals on Mercado Livre website and I was going to post them here and I just saw your post.

For those who collect this kind of medals, hereĀ“s a fact: The seller does not know NOTHING about militaria. I will ask for better pictures...

Another point is Brazilian Ebay is just like US Ebay - Good and Bad people around. The chances you get "anything at all" are the same in both sites.

            IĀ“m impressed with that medals

                  Hi Folks,

                  Notice of front:

Interesting... I asked more details on the medals, if it had diplomas, boxes, etc.

I received the following reply: "These decorations belong to my cousin who inherited of our deceased army general grandfather. It received in 1936 from the German Ambassador, therefore in this occasion Brazil kept diplomatical relations with this country. After Brazil to declare war to Germany, no longer beginning of years 40, some Brazilian authorities that had received these medals, had destroyed them for not committing itself, therefore my grandfather mateve only the medals and, from there before die, donated them for my cousin, who wants to sell them it to a collector".

I wait it of more photos of the medals....

                  Best regards,

                  R. Mooyman.

Something is wrong here... I think

-It seems that this Brazilian General didnĀ“t obbey the return policy of Eagle Orders ...

-By the way in 1936 there was no Eagle Orders on the world ...
-A General receiving Eagle Orders without swords! ...

I think we need more information of the seller and the pieces before biding.

                    All best,

                    Pablo

This, in my humble opinion, is a deal as bent as a bottle of crisps ...

                              finally they are real

Looking to the detailed photos of the Eagle Orders everyone can see that they are not fakes... but I think that the story about the General is difficult to believe.
