Help --- at a dead end: brown ribboned cross

Greetings,

I can't seem to find anything on this medal. It isn't marked as far as I can tell. The surface looks to be patinated non-ferrous metal under magnification. Reverse text is Treue fur Fuhrer und Volk. What is it? I checked the other forums for similar examples and am not sure whether this should be posted here. Front/back picture below. -d

Some info about your medal:
On 2.4.39 Hitler ordered the institution of the Long Service Awards for the NSDAP to represent 10, 15 and 25 years service and these were to be awarded to qualified party members of both sexes. Service in any of the following organisations as an officer or other ranks counted: Nazi Party, the so-called "Political Leaders", SA, SS, NSKK, NSFK, and as officers only in the HJ, DJ, BDM and JM (Ailsby: 138)

heres a question you may be able to help with.
on the 10/15 year long service medal why to some ribbon bars(be it a group or single mount)have the eagle device and others are just plain ribbon?


any idea?
