    German eagle order merrit medal

I would like to get some opinions on this medal as I'm not sure of it. First the medal looked fine to me, but the makermark appears to be L/?? or L/0? it's very unclear.
Does anyone know if this piece is a war time production? What the mm is?
Your help would be strongly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    ~Giel~

                Hi Giel,

I have no experience when it comes to these medals but to me the maker mark looks like it might be L/58 (alternately possibly L/52). You need a scanner for this mark!

                  Hi Mike,

I asked the seller, but he didn't send back sinds two days ago

Is there really nobody else? A no or a yes in fine.
                  Kind regards,
                  Giel

                    Hi Giel

The stamp looks pretty crisp and at a distance looks like L/25 but the close up looks nothing like that.

I also have no experience on these but if you wanted a quick decision, I would pm Frank H and ask him to take a look. He is usually pretty thorough on medals.

it certainly has that "been there" feel and if it was a good one at a reasonable price it would be a shame to miss out.

                    good luck

                    Graeme

                      Thanks Greame.

Just got mail back and he sais it's L/58 for sure. I think I'll pass this one as I'm not a Souval man...

That last pic shows the mark much better.
