Yes this medal is the original that came with the paper packet. As you guessed there is writing on the back also. Attached close up photos of the front and reverse of this

Hello,
Perfect, Seba you medal is exact in appearance as mine ( I assume " De Marchis " is incused ? ) , could you post a weight ( with and without ribbon ? )
Could some PC wizzard ( Lorenzo for example ?
) make a nice composition from the identical pieces and trhe comparison between the different medals ? => Seba can you also make a close up from both the Makers mark + the artists name ?

ok, here is my medal. Its the early 42' full bronze type.
Sorry i havent got any better pics... Makers marks are there and the right side is lower as wespennest's piece, just noticed it

Weird this one has not shown up more on the forum. It's certainly one of the more interesting designs. Mine's like Stijn's and Seba's.

Nice packet, ours vary slightly but still good.
They do a fake packet similar to the packet Frank shows without the LDO on it and the medals designation on the front instead, two shows ago at Leeds in the UK I saw loads, and I mean loads of them and then again at the Birmingham show all for 35 - 55 pounds.
