    not to step on toes but dont like set up and pics shown of the medal. personally with pics shown would not go there

          at looking at the pics everything is crisp except the " in der " at the top. the other thing is the back plate that does not looked aged at all. those two things put me off as an item for myself.i also would of thought the ribbon eagle would of been central and not off to the left as you look at it. my view only and reasons i would not buy it

            As far as the name of the mounting, I think it's a type of "parade" mount.

              Hi,

              The proper German term for such a set up is either of the following.

              Grossordenspange or Grossordenschnalle

              Also, as for the legitimacy of this particular example, there is not a thing wrong with it and have owned many just like it.

                Thanks for the info guys but I knew it was a parade mount. I was curious if there was a name for it like the "austrian" fold like some EK2's. Medal looks fine to me too.
