were War Merit Medals ever faked?? I saw one today and it looked so shiny I was going to buy it as a mini mirror. The ribbon on it was fake...but maybe the award was ok!! Any opinions??

Yep, even that one. (I've seen fakes of the KVM that were so shiny that they reminded me of those chocolate coins that are wrapped in gold aluminum foil.

that's it!! I was stupid enough to buy it
......even though it was only 1 pound (in Poland). I will take a pic of it and give it over to scrutiny. I have only bought 1 fake here in Poland so far (according to this site). I pray I have not started a trend. It's not the money...these w*nkers (fakers) are killing the golden goose.

these are a very low order item. this has either been cleaned or just another varient fake. with duff ribbon im drifting towards fake. the question raised is why for such a low value item??? not to state otherwise but didnt understand the reply in polish? i think most agree nationally that this is an english worded site. no offence mentComment
