EK2 "Ribbon Bow" Help Please!

Hi Everyone,

Earlier today I posted an EK2 with a ribbon bow in the Crosses forum.

Since the Cross is mounted utilising a bow, my first thought is that this was intended for female wear.

Anyway, I would very much appreciate the opinions of any ribbon afficianados re. this Cross, or rather the ribbon suspending it.
