Would anyone know what material this cross is constructed from??...it is not just brass...is it? Cheers, Torsten.

The cross was struck from tombak bronze, gilted, and then polished. The finish on these hold up really well.

Good thread, I'd not seen a ribbon like that before (the backing on the cotton device) as I say my examples, alas not to hand...they live in the bank for the time being (I don't trust the wife and my daughters sticky fingers......not to mention the unthinkable !!!), but they are just opposite definitions of the front.
