    Hi Everyone,

What are your opinions on this one? I think it may be bad but would like to read some other opinions to make sure - i never had a real one in my hand - so it smells really old .

I hope the pic´s are not too bad???

    Thanks,
    Christian

Not a standard one at all, but if you look at Wlads POW titles some threads back you see similar things.... it MAY be real, it MAY be not... depends if the buyer believes in or not.

I would have to agree, when I bought one I waited for a textbook one to come available, just in case 1 day I decided to sell

              Thank you Chris,
i don´t want to sell it, i want to keep it if it is a original one - i only want to be sure!!!
I got it from a good friend of mine and he told me he fetched it by a Knight Cross holder, but he don´t wanted to tell me his name at the moment until he received the other things. Only a story ????

Devil's advocate question: if your friend does not want to tell you who the KC holder is until he has fetched all his other belongings, why would he not be interested to keep his Kurland cufftitle????
                Cheers, Frank

I found this one at www.weitze.net . The material looks the same but the print is different.

Especially I like this funny deer, it looks like Disney's character.

                        Why?

Do you mean you would prefer a textbook one, or you think it is a fake?

For reference, from a collection in Moscow. I bought 4-5 from the guy, he would only sell the textbook ones. The oddball ones he knew the origins of, was comfortable with and kept them for himself.

Chris I prefer only text book because I am 100% sure that it is original period made cuff title. All another variations of kurland cuff titles I considering as post war copies.

Sure, that is what I was getting at above. If you are not sure, stick to textbook. Wlads contact had non textbook titles and a watertight pedigree. For the first hand owner or first collector who has them, no problem. but selling pieces like that is always a problem.

The first title in this thread? may be real, but how will anyone ever proove it either way?

The textbook ones are sexier anyway.

Chris, jast as you said it may be real I can say that the title in this thread may be not real. It is like play Russian roulette.
Jast because I dont like such items. In any case I believe that only text book titles were produced during the war, all another produced after may 1945. Plus I like design of text book titles more than others.
