    Ribbon identification?

Hey all, I know this isn't a Wehrmacht award, but it was awarded to some German soldiers. I've been told it's a Romanian Order of the Crown, or something along those lines.
Can I get a confirmation on that? Is it common, or fairly hard to come by? Does anybody have any good leads on where one could purchase either the ribbon, or the medal itself?
Many thanks for your assistance in advance.

    Hank
Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

It is the "war ribbon" for the Order of the Crown of Romania (Ordinul Coronana României), as used after 1938.

They aren't hard to find, but you would need to find a badge (i) that is Type II (post-1932, with crowns between the arms) and (ii) has swords. Something like this (although this is an officer's badge, so the ribbon should have a rosette):

Thanks very much for the info!

If anybody happens to know where to pick up a length of this ribbon (a friend is trying to re-create his fathers awards) please drop a note.

Order of the Crown - 15 MM ribbon bar ribbon

Have you seen the 15 mm ribbon bar ribbon for this award anywhere? I need enough for three places - I'm re-creating my father's bar (three versions - 1942, 1944 and 1945) based on three photographs. I have three displays with his uniform items but the only ribbon bar he had when he entered a French POW camp in 1945 is gone.

              Hello Gerst,

how about posting one of the photos? I am sure, everybody is most interested to hear the story of your father.

              regards,
              Gerd
