ribbon bar!!!

I just bought a ribbon bar. The order of the awards is as follows:

ww1 ek2
hindenbrug cross combatants
army 4 year
west wall

Is this bar possible?? Legit?? Are there any long service awards greater than four years for ribbon bars?

Yes, this is possible, a WW1 vet recalled for service on The Atlantic Wall.

As to other LS awards, they go all the way up to 40 Yrs, but are found in these combinations only (well 99% of the time anyway)-

4 YR
12YR/4YR
18YR/4YR
25YR/12YR
40YR/25YR

The 40YR denoted by the device below.

Thanks Chris. I was having trouble understanding why a ww1 would only have a 4 year army service award. Is it because the Army service award wasn't instituted until 1936 or am I still confused??

I'm thinking that he would have served a time in WW1, then left the army, then when he was called back up his previous time would have counted so he could have served as little as a year or two to receive the 4YR LS.

But he wouldn't have been any spring chicken, that's for sure!

A photo of the bar would be a big help though in determining authenticity.
But the combo is possible.
