    october 1938 award - CONFUSING

Hello I have a citation for the October 1938 Czech annexation medal.
It is issued to a member of 8./FLAK REGIMENT 54
The citation is issued by Staff Flak Regiment 126.

According to my info neither of these units were active as of the date on the citation (19.Jan.1941) let alone at the time of the 1938 annexation.
    Can anyone offer an explanation.
Does the signature look like "von Loderer" ?
He was commander of 126 regiment at that time.

    Thank you kindly.
    Here is the citation:

No not strange, I have a citation to a lad killed in France May 1940, it's not even entered in to his Wehrpas either (Not unusal either). It was a late award and he never got to see the medal either. I know he was the enemy, but he was just a kid

The recipient was entitled to the medal and then went to another unit etc etc I would imagine, this thread will be moved I imagine to the more appropiate paper section forum where the resident experts with more conversed explanations and certainly knolwedge with enlighten you further than I can.

These are his pre medal doc's:

thanks Marcus, so was he with Infantry Regiment 102 at the time of issuing his citation , or was IR 102 his unit when he participated in the annexation 1938 ?

The same Reg. but your's isn't special by any means. I've several soldiers that served with different Reg's. And their citations are all over the place.......the same happens today, with issue of medals etc......well in my experience, It's really nothing to be concerned with, or indeed worry about.........it's really very normal and certainly a frequent occurance.
