    Ostmedaille - Moritz Hausch A.G.

    Hello everyone,

I hope I find you all well.

I had a spare afternoon yesterday and decided to make a list of all the items in my collection, when and where I got them from and how much they cost.
I've been putting off doing this for years as I really didn't want to know what I spent over the years but once I got started I really quite enjoyed it and was surprised how much I remembered correctly.
I thought I'd also take the opportunity to identify some of the awards that I'd never been able to put a makers name to before.

Here's an Eastern Front medal on a lovely medal bar that I picked up quite recently.
I've done the necessary research and I'm pretty sure it's an example from Moritz Hausch A.G. ? However I far from an expert so I would appreciate hearing your views as to the origins of this medal.

    Thanks for reading.

    Cheers.

    Hi,

    Nice mssion you are on
This medaille at first glance is from the maker Wilhelm Deumer, an OM3.

    You can compare them here:

      Sindri,

      You are a genius.

I have compared my medal against the Deumer in your (superb) database, looked in some books and checked examples online and I see the distinctive 'S', I've spotted the uneven '41/42' and I have also noticed the fine detail on the head and talons on my medal all of which are characteristics of manufacture by Wilhelm Deumer of Ludenscheld.

Once again you have correctly identified my medal which is particularly impressive given the poor quality of my photos.

      Thank you once again.

        Hello,

        Np, your welcome.
I normally like to "talk" Ostmedaille. Who does not like a good riddle?

Pictures were pretty good actually, just at an angle

All the best and good luck,
        Sindri
