SS 8 and 4 year ribbon bar devices

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to show these 2 little guys before they go on sale- I am confident these are both original ones. They came together in part of an old collection of minis, and I think they are both probably from the same maker.

These are so rare there is very little to compare to out there!

Interesting to note that in the linked article that the 8 year device is on upside down (or photographed upside down), but of more interest is the fact that the ribbons on the ribbon bar are sewn together. Something I've never seen/noticed before on a ribbon bar?

In regards to the two devices shown for comment, I believe that based on the detail and construction that they have a very good chance of being the real deal!
They differ to the ones in the article, but as with most Third Reich items there were usually more than one maker of things so even though they aren't identicle to the ones in the article I still think they could be correct and of the period.

Thanks Guys, I am pretty happy with these- the quality is really good considering the size of these things- I had seen another 4 year one mounted upside down on a ribbon bar- very easily done I think if you didn't have your glasses on!

I found this old thread where J C Gray shows some real and fake examples- the genuine 8 year he shows appears to be the same version as the one I have

I like both of these devices. Here are my two examples, (same makers as these, and also the same as the ones shown on Rick's page on the forum database). The details cannot be mistaken, imo. Congrats on this truly rare find!

Thank you! In all of my reseach, I have found in photos, 5 examples of the 8-year devices by this maker, and 8 examples of the 4-year devices by this maker alone. This includes your two examples, as well as my own. These are indeed, very difficult to find.
