The Wehrmachtsgefolge, or Armed Forces Auxiliaries were those formations or organizations that were not a part of the formal Armed Forces, but which served such an important support role that they were given protection under the Geneva Convention
The badge was instituted 1. Oct. 1941 to worn by civilian personnel in the Wehrmacht.
Females received the 35mm brooch-type and a 23mm stickpin for males.
