Memel ribbon bar for review: good or fake?

Might I ask your opinion on this 1-place Memel ribbon bar? Does it look like a genuine example? It should be 30 mm wide.

Wait for other opinions but your ribbon looks good to me. I got a similar single bar from a dealer on 25mm ribbon (15, 25 & 30mm ribbon were used on ribbon bars) with a different back set up than yours a few years ago. As you say, impossible to say when it was made and, to be honest, I havent lost any sleep over it

The ribbon appears genuine. Has the looped ends.

If you have an ultra violet lamp see if it glows.

The plate it is mounted on looks like it is made of copper.

Its a bad one.

I have had a couple of these bars and I made a thread about them some years ago. Unfortunatly the pics are gone and I dont have the pics anymore bue to my pc crashed but its was the same as this one. Same stiching and plate. It comes from a german guy who made and sold them as originals.

As a matter of fact, there are indeed 2 of those bars offered on Militaria321.
I didn’t buy the example I showed as I am looking for a 25 mm Memel bar, not a 30 mm.

The 2 on militaria321, are they sold by Nordwind? Or maybe he has changed to a new account on mil321, after all, it was 10 years ago I bought mine from him. Back then he always had hundreds of ribbon/medal bars for sale.
