    Two more,
don’t panic there’s no switcharoo going on with the WW
I heard a rumour that these were not good like a rubber mould fake well this display stomps on that idea

    Kind regards Chay

        So what does that mean?
        I don’t understand your comment

I assume it's from another Deumer board, not the initial one Chris broke up as that one lacks the line across the obverse as well …

I don’t anything about a board chris broke up or who Chris is,
I have a theory about these ww medals.

For me they are too common to indulge theories … just move along to the next £30 textbook medal that doesn't have to have a 2-3 page discussion to authenticate it.

              End of.

                Indeed!
It’s the rubber mould that’s amusing.
These particular medals from Deumer have interest in the manufacturing techniques it’s not about money just research because nobody wants fake news!
General research these days is amazing a golden era of knowledge

                  Chay,
You keep mentioning "rubber molding". What's that about?

Nothing much really I heard it used to describe the style of material used by fakers in a casting mould,
I have not shared what I think is the manufacturing technique used I want to see how this most interesting thread develops,
Let’s hear all about it I’m sure the gnarly finish has a reason it has to

                    Kind regards Chay

The close up is revealing. Two very different versions. Even the grass on the right hand one with the casting line is different. So glad my example is a nice tombak one.

Yes two different looking medals from the same die!
                        Both Deumer both original
