    Winterschlacht im Osten

Guys, can you please check this one for me? Very slim one, weak in details.

    Hi,

Its a little hard to bend my head, but from these pictures, IMO a good one and should be marked with a 13 in the ring if you can reach it =)

Yes, its a little hard to see from these pics. Much easier in hand.
But it looks a little like a Medaille that was stored poorly and then cleaned/polished.

Just out of curiosity, did manage the check the ring?

Ahh... this is much better, thank you =)

Well, the design is an OM13 / Gustav Brehmer. They are always marked if I remember correctly.

It looks cast to me, that would be the obvious opinion.

But I have bought OMs that I thought were cast when I got them in hand and could examine them thoroughly they were not, but original zincers which das been in bad condition and polished/refreshed up.

So from pics alone, it's hard to tell. But if all the other awards on the spange are in good condition and the spange as well, hmmm... a lot of possibilities.

I think ribbon ring is replaced.

Yes it does, then there are even more possibilities what "happened".

But I guess one thing is clear, its very unlikely that a tailor "in the time" but on a bad conditioned (or cast) OM with a replaced suspension ring on a spange.
