6 and 7 Count Medal Bars

This interesting set of a 6-count medal bar with accompanying 6-count ribbon bar came in the same box which has the assembler's paper label affixed, the paper label expanding upon the information found on the metal assembler tags on the backs of the medal and ribbon bars.
Note the same awards but different sequence on the medal and ribbon bars.

This second example, a 7-count medal bar that most likely was for a Senior Officer - no assembler label on the back.

Very nice, Tim. I esp like the metal plate on the back of the medal bar and ribbon bar with matching box.

A set w/ matching ribbon bar & maker tag is awesome. One w/ tag on the ribbon bar as well & the original box is amazing! Great bars both Tim!

Interesting to see the bar ribbons out of order like that.

          Best,

          James

An interesting side note, this first set came from "Manion's" about 20 years ago.
At one time Manion's was a reliable source for many desirable items. The business was a pioneer on the internet with its auction that began in the late 1990s.

It had been going on a slow decline due to changes in the market place, mostly a reflection of the internet creating increased competition and drying up many of Manion's sources for items.

When a hurricane tore up Manion's facility, it just added a lot more problems for the business. Not long afterwards the business was sold to Jody Tucker and the decline picked up speed. It went out of business in 2014.

Very nice bars Tim. I love the examples with the assembler labels.

I have a couple that were put together by jewelry shops per their labels.
