The Sewing of the repairs appear to me like they have been done by someone with little experience on the sewing machine. Personally think it has been done to try and upgrade it , rather than they are wartime repairs.

I don't like the repairs.

Okey...the Repairs are postwar....ut the Smock are Orginal?

Yes, for sure the repairs were poorly done postwar. And not to fool anyone, rather to prolong its hard life.

So, it does appear, with the added information and photos, to be a heavily worn, heavily washed, original water pattern smock. That would explain the missing snap covers, etc.
