Here are some rare pictures captured from above, during the first moments of operation MERKUR. Some of them are taken by Ju 52 Crew while some others by JU87 and Me110 men who supported the drop in both waves. Enjoy.

Heraklion 2nd wave, 20/5/1941. Picture taken by Me110 that supported the drop East of Heraklion in Gournes area. It flies a few hundred meters over the JU52s. The unit that we see here, is I/FJR1. Note the direction that these planes make the drop. Looks like S SW.
