I am sure many will remember this very original and rare M37 shell that appeared on German ebay a few years ago. I just found a few photos of it. As Eric can testify to, there are only a few known originals out there. Lots of fakes. Does anyone know where this one ended up?

I remember it was sold around EUR 3,850 in August 2003, the winner is a Belgian. Why I know this? Because I was the 2nd high bidder that time.....

I was just reviewing photos of fakes and originals. I am pretty sure this one was original. The details of the liner and pads are the key.......from photos alone. Having seen my share of fakes in person, I am rather sure this one would not take long to authenticate in person.Willi

In 1993 I wanted one of those in the worst way! But at least I never fell for one of the fake ones you see all the time. We ought to do an inventory on the known real M-36s and M-37s.
