Hello Sergey,

Unfortunately there are only two pics of Russia present in the photo album.....on the page is written "Russland am mius hinten Stalino am Wolchov 1941/1942 . It is my understanding that the FJ Vet allowed his FJ Kameraden in his kompanie pick through the album...so many photos are missing. He apparently was wounded in Russia as it states some information on some of the feldlazarett Wien photos that he was wounded in Russia.

#1 FJR 2 - Attacking a position....small dots beyond those in Foxholes are FJ's attacking
#2 FJR 2 - Forming up near a patch of woods and muddy road.

the first photo in Ukraine i think becouse of the deep snow on the field - they fought there during whole winter 41 till the mid of April when Rgt was transferred to the Wolhov area .

I really have to disagree ... The woods are in Dessau / Roßlau ... There was the Pionierschule ... FJ often did Pioniercourses there !

Interesting .Wood looks like in the same places which i'd like to see /
In case they found as pix in Russia i'd say they are here , but if you have info about Pioneer school you right / It's very sad to me ...may be you have in this album pix from Russia ? if this unit not FJR2 but Falsch.Pi.Btl. they had't took part in combat area where i live .

The Album is from PiZug / FJR 3 ... There are no combat pictures in it ... Just a lot of training , shooting , sights of Braunschweig and Stendal , etc ...
