I am looking for anything related to Walter Kiess who received the KC 1940 for his participation in the taking of Fort Eben Emael in Belgium on May 10, 1940.
I was lucky enough to meet his widow earlier this year and she handed me over the
rest of his military estate, lots of documents and photos. Unfortunately, the medals and citations were sold by Mr. Kiess in the 90s to an unknown dealer/collector.
In my spare time, I am working in a museum and a few weeks ago I finished the display with the items I received. However, someone must have the other items as well, or perhaps someone out there has other photos where Walter Kiess is depicted.
If so, I would be more than interested to bring these things back together and display everything in our museum.
So if you have something or can provide any info, please lmk, I would be very grateful!
