          Weird question... historically and for family reaaons I am more interested in Cassino, but I wouldn't say I "prefer" it.

          I assume things got lost in translation here.

            prefer means which battle you like to research, to focus, to study, to collect....
            please Don't research the "word".

              I'm deeply interested in both battles because of the large number of para-units involved.

                Kreta , historically its use of Airborne troops to capture an isolated island , does it for me , Cassino. was a different battle in its own right equally as interesting fought over extended period of time .

                    with respect for all troops involved.

                      It's difficult to say which I prefer to read about and study ( I'm sure we all know what you mean) both are fascinating, with many good books on both. Probably Crete due to the audacity of the attack, carried out at great risk of complete failure...every time I read about it I still expect it to fail , as it should have. Who dares wins...
