Splinter FJ helmet cover value ?

As the thread of Mike1981, would know the value of this cover in vey bad condition, please ? This one was found in Brittany some years ago.

It's a bit more of a half one-)
not easy to give a value .I prefer to pay more for a complete one....

David, how does place a value on one with so much damage? To me, it is worth about 15-20% of a complete one. And that is being generous.

Although it is rough, it is kinda interesting. Notice 3 differences in construction just looking at the pics. The band appears to be OD green, not the purple or brown seen before or maybe it's just the pics. Also, the top piece of the cover is sewn "backwards" with the seam opening towards the outside. The drawstring tube is sewn with just one seam on the top part of the tube too.

I agree with Willi, the condition will drastically effect the value.

It is cool and for a collector who can't afford one in better condition (like most) it would be an opportunity to pick one up if the price was reasonable.
Put the damaged side against the wall out of view.
