    FJ Splinter helm cover

I was sunday on a fair in Belgium and there was an Original splinter helmet cover for sale. I recognize it from the book German Paratroopers.
But does anybody knows what the value is of a Original one?

Why are you so sure it was an original and not a copy?

That said , there were two dealers (one was probably at the last US show) which
were selling their private collection :
so a lot of helmets , gm bags, boots, smocks, pants ,.......
          everything for big money .

WHAT DOES IT WANT TO AUGUR ?

Lots of factors determine value, and no factors have been presented.

Roger, perhaps only you and the poster have any idea what the cover looks like. The main factor is condition.....

Static line military in France. 6 or 7 bags from different makers. And I also have seen the cover. Slightly worn condition, still very very nice. Didn't ask the price though.
Another big dealer was trying to sell his collection too but it was not focused on FJ.
Mathieu had the best display, as always

My concern was more : Why do 2 young and big collectors (also dealers) sell their collection
at the same time : pure fate or economic situation ?

Roger, there are many reasons folks sell, or thin, their collections. Life's changes, switching interests, financial situations like retirement, bills, college costs, divorce, kids, job loss, business decisions, etc, etc. They are all personal decisions and shouldn't be topics of silly gossip.

I know where you are trying to go with this discussion.....and I don't agree.
