    One of my favorite FJ portraits

    Former member of Theodor Eicke. Photo taken in Papa, Hungary. Hungarian photograph studio name embossed at bottom right.

        That's a greate picture of a member of SS Fallschirmjager Bataillon 500 member. Do you know his name? I wonder if he survived the war.

                    Both smock and helmet.

                    Both drawn from LW stores for the mission, no doubt.

                    Just as for the Gran Sasso operation.

                    I would expect that they were intended to be returned, in the same condition as when they were taken.

                      I'm glad to see that Mr Queen is back.

                      I, for one, have missed the quality of both his postings and scholarship.

                      Hopefully, there will be more.
