True, this might be an option. I know multiple photographs that clearly present evidence of para's wearing the jackboots in Holland in may 1940. I wonder if they jumped with these boots or if these where in the dropping containers or something. There are also a lot of photographs of para's wearing overcoats and other kinds of clothing and equipment one would not expect para's to jump with.
Anyway, as for now my priority is a nice early Fallschirmschützenabzeichen. Maybe after that I will expand to a full mannequin.

they must know each other well, at least on 1940.5.25.
Very interesting. Always enjoy stuff connected to FJR 1 in Holland. Hope you will share the pictures.

Do you know what Kompanie the guys in your photo are from?
Thank you! I have ID'th one guy from the 1th Halbkompanie der Sanitätskompanie 7 ( the obergefreiter in the middle). However I don't know his name. I think these might al be men of the 1th Halbkompanie der Sanitätskompanie 7.

Finally found my Fallschirmschützenabzeichen. A nice Juncker flew to my mailbox today

Please don't mind the background, this is a temporary display.

I actually managed to find a piece of RZ-1 Parachute fabric. So I will be adding a scarf as well and I'm getting a shirt for underneath the jacket from a fellow collector.

I will ad some more photo's once I receive those.

So I have not been standing still with my project. Did some nice addition to my collection.

I've managed to find a nice helmet shell with some apple green remains. No decals on it anymore but signs they have been there. I've put a bread strap belt on it to kind of hide that.
The helmet was found by a collector friend of mine in a village close to Monte Casino, he bought it from someone who found it there. The helmet has some battle damage.

It's a nice starter helmet for me.

I also added an early luftwaffe Y strap and a white parachute scarf.
I've chosen to show you some different configuratons.

Last weekend I was able to add a nice second pattern early blue bandoleer to my collection. I have yet to make photographs of it. That will be the next update

I'm not sure how to continue now. FJ pants are to expensive for me. I might be going with the straight luftwaffe pants and jackboots.
Only problem is that I can't find a lot of photographs where I see the paratroopers in Dordrecht wear that. And also a lot of photographs in which I have a hard time determing that. In most pictures they are wearing the 1st pattern Fallschirmjäger Höse and the first pattern side lace boots.

If anyone has examples of photographs with Fallschirmjägers in Dordrecht/Moerdijk wearing straight luftwaffe trousers and jackboots I would really like to see them.

Also I would like to know if on occasion they jumped in straight trousers and jack boots. Or if this kind of equipment was flown in and airdropped. ( I actually don't think so because in a lot of photographs of FJR 1 in Dordrecht they are wearing Dutch overcoats, which indicates there were other priorities then clothing)

            Anyway, enjoy.
